Deepest CMCs In The UK To Date At Westway Business Park
Two years after completing the Filshill Unit at Westway Business Park, Vibro Menard has returned to construct close to 4000 no. Controlled Modulus Columns (CMCs).
The CMCs require to be installed to a massive 29m depth which is the deepest CMC scheme to date in the UK. We are using two rigs to meet the programme demands and work is progressing well with Unit 1 complete and steelwork nearing completion.
Our clients find the CMC advantageous in trimming when green and constructing regular pad foundations rather than pile caps / ground beams which provides significant programme savings and costs.
The site team led by Paddy Mcqueen, has braved the Scottish weather and is making mighty strides to complete Unit 2 in line with the agreed fast track programme.
